Open goal by
If you go to junior training you would hear the coaches going over and over the same thing. “You never leave your goal line open,” says the coach. “Always have someone defending back there, even if the goalie is somewhere else!’
Then the coach would move on to another skilling point. “Don’t ever kick the ball across the goal face when the other team is close, it’s like committing suicide!’ he would instruct.
Really basic wisdom, like these two soccer guidelines, is foundational to future success in the world’s greatest game.
So let me give you some rock-bottom spiritual wisdom. Avoid giving Satan any chance of entering your life - carefully follow God’s instruction!
Nathan, God’s prophet, warned David, using spiritual wisdom, of a terrible sin he had committed, and the curse that would fall upon the rest of his family.
“But you have given great opportunity to the enemies of the Lord to despise and blaspheme Him, so your child shall die.” 2 Samuel 12:14
