On edge

by Bruce Wadd

Ever eaten sour grapes? The bitterness in your mouth; the sour taste sliding down your gullet; the growing sick feeling churning in your belly; your teeth have a heightened sense of awareness, becoming more tender?

They are on edge!

It’s funny, because the person standing next to you, despite the horrible sensations that you are experiencing, can only see your reaction. It’s only you that can go through it!

So to, living for God! You, like everyone in the world, need to have a personal experience with God. No one else can do it for you. Only you feel the shame of your sin, the pain of confession, and then the joyous freedom and restoration of being loved fully by God.

It’s a daily thing… ‘teeth on edge’… living in a relationship with God.

“For everyone shall die for his own sins – the person eating sour grapes is the one whose teeth are set on edge.” Jeremiah 31:30

TODAY, be ‘on edge’, and let God rule your life!
