On empty

by Bruce Wadd

What does your vehicle do when it’s on empty?  Some have a flashing light; others make a sound, where my car merely shows an orange light indicating about 50 kilometres are left before I run out of fuel.

There are probably times in your life when you feel like you’re ‘on empty’.  Your children have drained you dry; your teens are so demanding; your new job is taking every ounce of energy; your dying parents are your total focus; the new project is absorbing every morsel of emotion and creativity!

Whatever your situation, take note of ‘empty’ for a moment.

We all go through 'empty' experiences.  You might even be having one right now.

If nothing else, let it get your attention, and drive you back to the essence of life – to God!  He is able to not only fill but overflow your empty tank with renewed hope, faith and enthusiasm.

“And it is he who will supply all your needs from his riches in glory, because of what Christ Jesus has done for us.”  Philippians 4:19

Let Him fill your tank, today?
