On call

by Bruce Wadd

For those of you who run a business or professionally work on an ‘on-call’ basis I am sure the novelty wears off sooner rather than later.

A good friend of mine runs a business where every second or third weekend he is rostered on for ‘call outs’.  On those weekends he needs to be ready at any point to stop what he is doing, up tools and go and solve the problem facing his customer.

His effective response lays the foundation for future business, but he also charges well for the convenience of this ‘on-call’ service.

I just wanted to remind you today that God is constantly on call for you.  He encourages you to ask, seek and knock, to genuinely search for His attention, because He wants to spend more and more time with you.

“He will listen to the prayers of the destitute, for he is never too busy to heed their requests.”
Psalms 102:17

Today, remember God’s ‘on-call’, just a prayer away!
