Notice me

by Bruce Wadd

I noticed graffiti when on my morning walk through the bush.  This was unusual, because of the distance from buildings and people.  In the middle of a forest is not the place you would expect to see street art!

It regularly amazes me how far some people will go to be noticed!  How many people, particularly younger ones, are screaming to be heard?  Their behaviour, clothes, music, language, even body movements are all used to be noticed and accepted!

That’s right… our innate human need is to be accepted, particularly for who we are! Everyone wants to ‘have a voice’, to be valuable to someone.  It’s, I believe, the way we were made by our creator.

Seeing you have a God that accepts you just the way you are, I wanted to challenge you today to look, listen … notice the kids, adults, and the elderly … that are screaming for attention.  They too are significant.  Are you noticing?

That’s the way we build the community of people… letting them see God in you!

“My prayer for all of them is that they will

be of one heart and mind, just as you and

I are, Father – that just as you are in

Me and I am in you, so they [that’s you and me]

will be in Us, and the world will believe You sent Me.”

John 17:21

Why not be noticed, TODAY, by listening to someone different!
