Nose to tail

by Bruce Wadd

Normally a ‘nose-to-tail’ refers to a car accident, where one vehicle smashes into the rear of the automobile in front.  NOT this time! The other day I saw a ‘nose-to-tail’ that was so significant I had to stop to observe!

Sprawled across my bush track was a line of caterpillars showing me a massive ‘nose-to-tail’.  Here was this squirming mass of bodies, in one moving line, heading who knows where.  It was fascinating to watch!

But it made me ask the question… what happens if the line was broken?  Would they rejoin or just lose their way?

I have just come through a rather difficult circumstance, where I needed to leave my church of many years.  It makes me ask the question – who was I following?  Was it my pastor, or was Jesus my guide?

Many won’t relate to this experience, but for those that do, I want to ask you a question.  Who is your commitment to?  Your pastor?  Your church?  or Your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?  Sometimes allegiances can get confused!

“ When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes,

He shall guide you into all truth, for He will

not be presenting His own ideas, but will be

passing on to you what He has heard.

He will tell you about the future.”

John 16:13

Make sure your nose is connected with the right tail!
