No more to read

by Bruce Wadd

Listening to the news, as I was driving this particular day, everything seemed normal.  Then the professional news journalist stopped, mid-sentence, with an extended pause.

After what seemed like an eternity of silence, he declared, “I have nothing more to read.”  The computer he was reading from had shut down.  The radio news presentation had been curtailed, and eventually music filled the void.

What do you when there is ... a loss of vision? a lack of energy for a way forward? nothing left in the tank?  What do you do then?

“I reach out for you.

I thirst for you as

parched land thirsts for rain.”

Psalms 143:6

Maybe having nothing to read ... is a good thing!
