Newspaper delivery

by Bruce Wadd

There was a time when my kids delivered newspapers for a little extra income. They had two different ways of delivering.

The easiest way was being belted in our van throwing to either side of the street, getting as close to each letterbox as possible.

The other was much more painstaking. Either riding a bike or walking, laden down with bags filled with well-folded newspapers carefully placed within the mailbox.

It was clear what the kids preferred – the aerial delivery method! But it was much less accurate, and eventually disallowed by the newspaper company.

Here is the ongoing debate about time versus accuracy. As you mature in God, how intentional do you need to be about your relationship with Him?

Will five minutes satisfy? Will just going to church keep Him ‘off your back’? I wonder what God deserves from you? What does He want?

“He walks ahead of them, and they follow Him,

for they recognize his voice.”

John 10:4

TODAY, take the time to get to know Him…
it will make a difference in the delivery!
