Moon loses its power

by Bruce Wadd

Those early risers and late partiers have probably noticed the same phenomena!

Having gone out for an early walk this particular morning I arrived at the top of a hill with relative ease because of the moonlit trail.  I sat for a while and appreciated the silhouetted view of lights and the occasional traffic.  All of this before even the first hint of dawn had arrived.

The moon was brilliant, making the night feel like day. But, only a matter of minutes later as the impending sunrise began, I noticed for the very first time in my life, the moon rapidly losing its power and impact.  The light of the sun was taking over, even though the moon’s light was still powerful.

Apply this to your Christian journey.  Once Jesus comes into our lives we fade into his brilliant love. Our lives merely become reflections of His.

Do you reflect his love, his character, his life?

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.

I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ.”

Philippians 3:8

TODAY, let His life, love and power rule!
