Mercedes carpark

by Bruce Wadd

Ever stood by and watched a simple experience unfold in profound slow motion?

Last Sunday saw a group of friends travel to a mountain hideaway.  Despite being in the depths of winter, the sun provided enough warmth to be really enjoyable.

As the group stood contemplating their next few hours, a new looking Mercedes, complete with a well-dressed family, drove into a crammed car parking area.  The driver was looking expectantly for that one elusive car park for his new vehicle.  But despite crawling around the congested space several times nothing became available.  Thus, he ended up needing to park part way down the steep hill, and walk back with his family.

Only seconds later an old Mazda arrived as a space became available right next to the kiosk entrance.  The driver found his carpark!

The Gospel is so similar. Often the person we see most eligible for heaven is the least likely to be chosen.  And visa versa, the least likely is the first to take the chance of salvation!

God respects and loves, and clearly makes his grace available to all.  Are you waiting for the opportunity?

Here’s some of God’s wisdom...

“If you love your life down here – you will lose it.
If you despise your life down here –
your will exchange it for eternal glory.”
John 12:25

TODAY, be prepared because God has made a car space available.
Are you looking for it?
