Macaroni and cheese

by Bruce Wadd

Food combinations can be so good.  Different cultures, climates and personal tastes bring such rich and exciting variety.  Here are some of mine…

  • Avocado and Marmite – on toast for breakfast

  • Honey and Peanut Butter – great on toast

  • Cucumber, Tomato and Onion – lovely on a hot summer’s evening

  • Salt and Pepper – on top of tomato

And the list goes on!  Think about your favourite food combinations.  Which ones work for you?

Here’s another one that works, as long as one doesn’t control the other - fear and growth!

God calls each of us to step out into new challenges, and like macaroni and cheese, fear and growth are natural consequences.  Trusting in Him allows the growth to overcome the ‘fear’.

Peter, when walking on the water, discovered this combination, and how Jesus can rescue and support through our growing times.

“Instantly Jesus reached out his hand, and rescued him.  “O man of little faith,” Jesus said, “Why did you doubt me?”’  Matthew 14:31

Today, step out in Him, and the “macaroni and cheese” combination to will work!
