Lollipop disaster

by Bruce Wadd

Opening bags of lollipops and filling the container was kind of a ‘no-brain’ job. I was getting through the twenty bags really well till the final one. Whilst ripping the top, like I had done with all the others, the bottom burst open, and all the contents fell to the floor.

It took a while to pick everything up, but the thought arrived …

How many times does life bring circumstances, out of your control, that look like the ‘bottom has fallen out’. Isn’t it your response that’s important?

Anger.  Denial.  Depression.  Frustration.  Screaming.  Loss of peace?

Alternatively, reassessment, acceptance, proactivity, thinking, even a prayer and a smile!

“Let the peace of heart which comes from

Christ be always present in your hearts and lives, for

this is your responsibility and privilege as members

of His body.  And always be thankful.”

 Colossians 3:15

What will your response be? TODAY!
