The light of day

by Bruce Wadd

After the hundredth ‘drill, hammer and screw’ I was starting to get the picture. The timber batons, that my father and I had spent three painstaking days securing to the concrete foundation of my new deck, would never see the light of day.

How could something that took so long, was checked so many times, be finally hidden and never seen again? It just didn’t seem right, particularly after all this work, the ‘blood, sweat and tears’!

The work would never be acknowledged by those who enjoyed the pleasures of this charming timber extension.

God is working on you right now… on the inside! Most people will never know what you’ve had to go through. But the pleasure others will have is seeing a transformed character, the miracle of the changed life!

I can see the smile on God’s face right now - His perfect creation is becoming a reality.

Trust Him to do the foundation work, despite the fact that no one else will ever truly understand, He will!

“My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance;

therefore I will hope in Him. The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for Him, to those who seek for Him.”

Lamentations 3:24,25

TODAY, let God do His work… on the inside!
