Lawn weeding

by Bruce Wadd

Removing weeds from my lawn can be a time consuming process.  Sometimes the weeds come out easily, but like the other day, there are those weeds that are stubborn and refuse to come out without a great deal of attention.

As I started to pull them out I realised that they were well entwined through the existing lawn.  Thus, three hours later, I was still pulling, twisting and chopping, getting an increasingly sore bottom in the process.

How true is this for you as a new Christian?  Building a strong friendship network with other Christians provides a real anchor when times become more difficult.

How well are you knitted into friendship and fellowship of your local church?  How strong is your relationship becoming with Jesus Christ?  Both are vitally important.

“But if we are living in the light of God’s presence, just as Christ does, then we have wonderful fellowship and joy with each other, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from every sin.”  1 John 1:7

Today, strengthen your friendships and stay rooted in Him!
