Is there anything left?

by Bruce Wadd

The Australian Open tennis championship finished recently.  It proved to be a massive battle for many of the world’s tennis elite!

I had the privilege of listening to the final’s match between Capriati and Hingis, and it was fascinating eavesdropping the struggle between these two fine players.  The temperature was up to forty six degrees on court, and so umpire allowed longer breaks to bear with the energy-zapping heat.

Both players were giving the struggle one hundred percent of their energy and focus!

Towards the end of the match they were both mentally and physically exhausted because of their commitment, but they knew that to win it would need every ounce of their strength and endurance.

Are you feeling like that?  Is your fuel tank in life running on a flashing red light?  Is there anything left? Have you been stretching things to the max?

Here is some hope from the Scriptures for you, today.

“Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, he remains faithful to us and will help us…” 2 Timothy 2:13
