Inkling of green

by Bruce Wadd

Seeing dead trees along my bush track is common.  Fire and natural attrition kill many fine specimens every year, but as I looked into the dead leaves of this particular tree I noticed on the whole tree two small branches with bright green leaves.

Was there hope?  Could there be life in this ‘dead’ specimen?

Seen any dead people lately?  No, I don’t mean physically dead, necessarily, but those that no longer seem to have any spiritual existence.  Are they totally disinterested in God?  In life?  Or have you missed seeing an inkling of ‘green’?

Who is it you need to give another chance?  To provide more grace?  To again show the true love of Jesus.

“No,” Jesus replied, “seventy times seven!”

Matthew 18:22

Keep looking for green… for life!
