I must remember

by Bruce Wadd

If it was the first time that it had happened then that would be OK. But this was something that happened with regularity.  Let me explain…

It was Monday morning, and like most people I rose with the idea of preparing myself to begin another working week.  Early in this process my mind triggered a thought – “Don’t forget the security card!” - I needed a security card to access my work area.

Several times during the morning - in the shower, eating my breakfast and when brushing my teeth – I had the same thought. “I must remember the card so I can get into work!”  This thought kept pounding in the mind, until five minutes before I was to leave… and then it vanished.

Almost like waking from unconsciousness, the next time that same thought surfaced was as I parked my vehicle at work. Right then the ‘oh no!’ feeling entered my thinking.  I had forgotten my card!  How was I going to get in?

Thanks goodness God has a memory for us.  His thoughts are about us every moment of the day – we never go off his radar screen!

“How precious it is, Lord, to realise that

You are thinking about me constantly.”

Psalms 139:17

TODAY, at least you know that He will remember!
