I don’t want to live like this

by Bruce Wadd

I listened.  I placed my arm around him.  I wept with him.  The pain and discontent were incredible.  This man’s heart was being torn apart.  Here he was in his second marriage, trying to juggle the needs of his children that were no longer with him, and the demands of his new wife.

An overwhelming burden lay upon his life.  Whichever way he went – to give attention, love, and time to his wife or to shower blessings on his children – both ways caused the other great dissatisfaction.

His heart ached as he uttered out, “I don’t want to live like this!”

The depth of the pain was incredible.  Another man shared his experience…of going through a blended family situation and praying for his wife and children through the difficult years.  The results are now starting to show, the light is shining brightly at the end of the tunnel.

God the Father’s tension was so incredible when His Son chose to die for the human race.  The Father wanted so much blessing for Jesus, but He had to let Him suffer ultimate separation in order to save humanity.  Even Jesus cried out…”I don’t want to live like this”, but chose anyway to submit His will to His Father.

Jesus now wants to live a life of blessing in you.  Through your most challenging times, God has your ultimate happiness in the forefront of His mind.

“The troubles will soon be over,
but the joys to come will last forever.”
2 Corinthians 4:18b

TODAY, choose to live in Jesus forever!
