Howling outside

By Bruce Wadd

The wind was just blowing a gale outside.  People were pulling their coats up around their necks, and leaning into the growing storm.  It was freezing!

But I stood on the inside looking out, feeling for those people, glad that I was warm, still and watching the spectacle.

Then I opened the door.  In blew the wind and the frigid air.  “Close that door,” screamed everyone inside.  Hastily the command was followed.  But it was good to confirm how strong it was howling outside, contrasting the warm inside.

Been on the outside lately?  Pushing against terrible odds, fighting against yourself, under attack from friends, colleagues, even family?

Despite your circumstance, God can and will protect and give you a safe place to be … where it’s warm inside.  Come on in … talk to Him, today!

“I come to You, Lord, for protection …

Do as You promised …

Protect me from hidden taps and keep me safe …

The Lord protects the faithful.”

Psalms 31:1,23
