Gradually descends

by Bruce Wadd

Many things gradually reduce in height, size or capacity. Water flows to the lowest point; an plane without engines operating plummets towards the ground; older people lose their hearing, balance, and even the mind!

I saw an example of descent recently. A freshly smashed beer bottle appeared on my walking track. The brittle thin brown glass had been hurled onto the bitumen shattering into hundreds of pieces, varying in size and shape.

Each day as I walked past the larger pieces were gradually broken into smaller pieces by the passers-by, myself included.

What was originally a bottle that could have been easily put back together, if someone had the patience to do so, was slowly reducing to small bits of shattered glass, losing any hope of returning to it's original glory.

Human life is often similar. If allowed to just be, life gradually wears or breaks us down.

Introduce God into the equation and a broken life can be miraculously restored and renewed! God is in the business of repair, restoration and transformation.

“And this is the will of God, that I should not lose

even one of all those He had given me, but that I

should raise them to eternal life at the Last Day.”

John 6:39

TODAY, let God build your life!
