Got to have a bite by Bruce Wadd
Regularly my six-foot son and I have a little fun when my wife is having toast. The popping sound triggers us into action.
As the toast is being buttered on the bench we distract her with something funny or some pending disaster getting her to look the other way while the other person moves in and takes a bite.
“Who bit my toast?” fades the predictable whine, the smile showing on the faces of both father and son.
The smile and laughter is much more sinister, but the intent is the same. The devil wants to take pieces of you, and he has many, many different strategies up his sleeve to distract you. Before you know it … yep, it’s happened again!
I am here to remind you - again - of the reality of your life as a Christian!
