Get grounded by Bruce Wadd
The group of young men was excited. Four university students were heading down this dusty gravel track and entering mountain territory to climb and abseil for the weekend.
Eyes popped and hearts pounded as the track narrowed and the massive cliffs began to draw together on either side like the curtains at a finale.
David, the driver, needed to stay focused, because a slight misjudgement in steering could lead to disaster – certain lay on either side of this narrow path.
But what a view when the group got to the end of the track! All sides except for the road they had just driven down were 500m cliffs, rolling hills, deep valleys and fresh, almost biting air. They were alive… and looking forward to their weekend of adventure!
Crammed on either side? Needing to stay focused so things go well, rather than the possible impending disaster? Pressured by circumstances outside your control?
Get on your knees. Touch the ground, continually, and discover the truth of Jesus and how He helps and guides your life, giving answers for real situations.
“You are truly My disciples if you live as I tell you to, and you will know the truth,
and
the truth will set you free.”
