Fresh today

by Bruce Wadd

There’s nothing better than walking into my home with the smell of freshly baked bread.  Even my daughter, who is a baker, still delights in the smell!

Taking the bread, only minutes out of the oven, cutting with the sharpest knife, and then as the steamy odour rises, adding butter to this warm bake gives an irresistible message. The crunchy crust crumbles to the bench as the smell invades the nostrils.

Mmmmmm...

It’s just not the same when using ‘day-old’ bread. Freshly baked is best!

God's mercies are new everyday. That’s right, every morning when you wake up He is ready to pour into you a new start, a fresh beginning. Yesterday’s blessings, even though vital for then, are no longer as vibrant or relevant, stained by the day’s events.

Your new blessings are ready…. Why not talk with the Lord today!

“But as for me, I will sing each

morning about your power and mercy.

For you have been my high tower

of refuge, a place of safety

in the day of my distress.”

Psalms 59:16
