Floaties

by Brandy Ferguson

They were all dressed and ready to go to the pool, and waiting for me.  I was trying to blow up the arm floaties for my toddlers to wear, and some of them were more difficult than others to inflate.

While it was no problem to get the first one finished, the second one, for no apparent reason, seemed to almost refuse to be filled with air.  With kids fidgeting and getting restless to get on with the fun, I eventually finished my little task and we were on our way.

Is it possible that sometimes we refuse to allow God to breathe into our lives, to transform us, recreate us, and rescue us?  Like the stubborn ‘floatie’, do we remain closed off to Him, in spite of His passionate desire to fill us with His love, guidance and wisdom?

"The Spirit of God has made me;

the breath of the Almighty gives me life."

Job 33:4

Let God breathe into you, TODAY!
