First time

by Bruce Wadd

I’ve been living in this city for twenty years but I'd never walked through Chinatown.  I’ve been past the entrance many times, but never actually entered.

It was Chinese New Year, and so I thought I may as well take the opportunity to experience this unique place.  As I entered, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.  Each step I took opened up a new world.

I couldn't believe how different it was, and it was only one street away from where I walked many times.  Wow! How much have I been missing?

There is purpose in moving out of your comfort zone.  Regularly discovering new things is filled with learning, expanding your boundaries. Seeing things from different perspectives is valuable for maturity, but I am embarrassed to say, I often need pushing!

“For just as the heavens are

higher than the earth, so are My ways

higher than yours, and My thoughts than yours.”
Isaiah 55:9

Thank God!  He keeps us moving and growing!
