First sighting

by Bruce Wadd

In four years of walking through my local forest this was the first sighting. As I walked around the bend, there, directly in front of me, was a koala with her infant clinging to its back scampering up a tree.

I was more than excited.  To see a koala in the wild is special, but to have her baby attached is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I stood there for ten minutes watching this concerned parent climb to the uppermost parts of the eucalypt, taking care of its baby by scampering away from this intruding human.  It was a special moment to be cherished!

Sometimes your situation may seem desperate, or your dream may seem like it will never come to be.  But the koala reminded me that if you keep walking … in the Lord … there’ll always be special prizes along the way, better than what you ever dreamed!

“If you will only listen and obey

the commandments of the Lord your God that I

am giving you today, He will make you the head

and not the tail, and you shall

always have the upper hand.”

Deuteronomy 28:13

Are you listening and watching for His blessing, TODAY?
