Finger in the ear

by Bruce Wadd

It’s an old trick - it’s been around for centuries - and it still works effectively for many singers!

When they are having trouble hearing a note precisely, one finger goes in an ear.  Why?  Try it now and see what happens.

A musician is able to hear what’s happening around as well as what’s happening internally – great for when you are singing harmony in a choir or group.

Maybe you should stick your finger in your ear more often, to actually get in touch with what your inner self is saying.  You may be surprised what discoveries are made.  With all the noise of life squeezing in on you, letting God speak through a quiet moment can empower you to face life with greater wisdom, courage and insight.

“I stand silently before the Lord, waiting for him to rescue me.  For salvation comes from him alone.”

 Psalms 62:1

Today, put your finger in your ear for a moment… and listen!
