Feet in the air

by Bruce Wadd

I have noticed it for many years – that both dogs and cats, when comfortable, will regularly sleep with all paws facing the air.

Our family’s current dog is no different.  Only being a few months old has made no difference to the fact that when he feels no threat around him, he will just roll over, lie back and let his paws go skyward – he is at peace with his world!

How do you sleep?  How do you live?  With your feet in the air?  Probably not, but stay with the metaphor for a moment.  We are challenged as Christians to live our lives in the trust, security and hope of life beyond our current struggles.  We can know, with absolute confidence, that God is in charge of everything that happens to us, if we are in Him!

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trust in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20

TODAY, approach life with a ‘feet in the air’ attitude!
