Facing boring

by Bruce Wadd

Teenagers are special people.  As a parent of two I realise that they have taught me so much about life, others and myself.

“Dad, you’re just old!” comes the standard line.  “You just don’t understand… you’re just a boring old f@#t” continues the ridicule.

Then as I look in the mirror, it becomes increasingly obvious that I am facing an older, more boring middle-aged person… someone well passed their teenage years!

When is the last time you have faced yourself, and seen something you don’t like or aren’t comfortable with.  Was it last year, last week, yesterday or even right now?

It’s never a comfortable experience, but it can lead to a much greater understanding.

Here’s a spiritual truth about you worth pondering.

“For it is my Father’s will that everyone who sees his Son and believes on Him should have eternal life –

that I should raise him at the Last Day.”

John 6:40

Today, face the reality of your eternal life!
