Expectant look and listen

by Bruce Wadd

He stood momentarily, looking at me, ears tuned for the next command. With an arm raised I pointed in the new direction of where we were headed, and off he bounded.

Deisel, my trusty walking companion, has taught me so much about myself. I have seen his expectant behaviour many times, but it seemed like this morning’s stance was most notable.

Are you bounding away in Jesus, having stopped and listened?

I am finding that living in Jesus is a simple daily walk of stopping and listening to Him, knowing all the time He is with me. He is trustworthy, and has only my best interest at heart. In fact, I can say…

“Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.”

Job 13:15

TODAY, bound ahead after you’ve stopped and listened!
