Enjoying the moment by
The mother and infant arrived at the shopping centre. The young one was placed carefully in the seat of the amusement ride and the coin inserted. Before long the ride began moving, with smiles appearing on both mother and child. The little fellow quickly began looking, touching, tasting everything within reach.
The colours, the textures, the movement, the noises… all added to the pleasure of the moment. Mum was totally focused on assisting her precious one to get the most out of this experience.
The squeaks and squawks of delight coming from the infant’s mouth, the waving and then touching hands, the excited body wiggling and squirming on the colourful ride - all indicating a young one enjoying the moment!
There is no greater pleasure for a mother, or a father, to see their offspring delight in an experience.
God wants the same! When He gives you a sunrise, a rainbow, a bird call… whatever the encounter, He looks on with a smile, knowing that His creation has made you happy… and He is pleased!
“And if you hardhearted sinful men know how to give good gifts to your children, won’t your Father in heaven even more certainly give good gifts to those who ask Him for them?” Matthew 7:11

As an observer I sat
sipping my coffee, watching something incredibly special and valuable for
both mother and child.
