Double movement

by Bruce Wadd

How often do you look into the sky and study the movements of the clouds?

Because I am one of those weird early morning types, I recently rose well before dawn and wandered outside to greet the day.  It was several days after full moon and in the sky were scattered clouds.

Upon closer inspection I noted two different layers of cloud.  One very high dry weather cloud and the others were lower, fluffier clumps.  As I watched a weird sensation started to happen – it almost felt like I was moving, because both layers of cloud seemed to be moving, but in the opposite direction to each other.

Therefore it looked and felt like both the moon and I were heading somewhere and the clouds seemed stationary.

Have there been times in your life where conflict or circumstances have caused you to wonder what was really going on?  There seemed to be something happening, but you weren’t sure what, and it was easy to doubt your own thinking?

I wanted to encourage you to follow some simple advice regarding our behaviour as Christians.  Pray for guidance as to what to do when in difficult circumstances and then take heed of this wisdom.

“Make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good…  Try to find out and do whatever the Lords wants you to… Be filled instead with the Holy Spirit, and controlled by him.”  Ephesians 5:16,17,18 (parts)

Today, let Christ bring perspective to your double movements!
