Why do you put your clothes in the washing machine? That’s right… so they can be cleaned! What is the purpose of putting them in the dryer? Yes, right again… so they can be dried! Why hang clothes on the clothes line? So they can be dried naturally!
These are home chores that most people do without thinking, knowing that they need to be completed for hygiene and general well being. It’s not nice working in clothes that aren’t washed and dried! So, therefore, the jobs just need to be done!
If it is possible, difficult things in life can be looked at the same way! They are happening as a part of your life experience, maturing you into God’s character. We naturally want to get out of pain, to run away from some of these, but these are often the exact things that are needed to get us ready for the next stage of our life with God.
Be patient! Trust God to bring you through for His good! Stay till He has finished, till He’s done working on you… till you are ‘washed and dried’!
“Is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete.” James 1:2-4
TODAY, stay with God and the circumstances… till it is done!
