Did you pass? by
As a teacher of many years, one of the natural things that we do at the end of the teaching process is to assess or evaluate student progress. It’s just a normal part of teaching.
You expect it when you go to university, when you are doing an apprenticeship or when you are going for a promotion. In fact, in most arenas of life there is usually some sort of criteria against which you are evaluated, to see if you’ve made the standard!
What’s the point of doing lots of learning, many hours, days, weeks, months, even years, and not evaluating your progress?
Paul, the most prolific New Testament writer, was also interested in getting people to self-evaluate.
Today, I wanted to be a little more reflective and get you to take out the mirror and ask yourself these questions.
“Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christians? Do you pass the test? ...Or are you just pretending to be Christians when actually you aren’t at all?” 2 Corinthians 13:5
How did you go? Pass or fail? Why not submit your answers to Jesus, and let Him show you greater truth about yourself, and how He can work in your life?
He provides no condemnation because He’s already passed!
TODAY, submit your test results to Him!
