Dawn satisfaction by
For those that have read my devotionals for a while, you will know that I am a ‘morning’ person - someone up with the birds and appreciating the day’s potential! Let me share a simple yet inspiring experience for the ‘night’ people, so you won’t have to rise to see this phenomena yourself.
The four-year-old house was sitting on top of a steep ridge overlooking a vast arena of houses, freeway, farms, islands, and ocean in the distance. We arrived in total darkness, and armed with hot coffee sat outside on the verandah chatting.
With suburb lights sparkling and trucks moving along the freeways, the early morning was a silhouette of black and white. Then as dawn progressed, birds began chirping, different colours began appearing in the landscape, with the awareness of distance and perspective increasing with the growing light.
The awakening panorama just captured our attention. Again, it was a privilege to be alive and awake!
Living in Christ is much more. Every day holds a unique freshness and originality that becomes better and better as the relationship matures.
“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.” Romans 12:2

Yesterday I had the
privilege of meeting with two friends at one of their homes. It was the first
time that I had been there, and I considered the visit an honour.
