Dark steps

by Bruce Wadd

My regular walking route is completed early in the day. I know it will, but recently I chose to walk the same way at night. What a surprise!

It was noticeably harder. I never realized how many ups and downs, bumps and turns, there were on this relatively simple path. It goes from concrete, to bitumen, and then dirt pathway, but in the dark the irregularities were amplified.

Lacking light there were twisted ankles and slower progress. In general, the walking was just less enjoyable – I won’t do it again, except during full moon!

How much light is shining on your ‘life path’? Has it been familiar, but you’ve felt like you’ve been travelling in the dark?

There is hope in truth… and light. Read this wonderful admission...

“You have turned on my light! The Lord my God

has made my darkness turn to light.”

Psalm 18:28

TODAY, don’t take dark steps any more. Live in the light!
