DANGER ahead

by Bruce Wadd

“Saying you already know something is a recipe for inaction” the radio journalist concluded.  He’d just been interviewing a range of government ministers regarding climate change, and was attempting to summarize the attitudes he’d discovered.

As with most journalists, she persisted with a line of questioning, aiming to get one of the government representatives to admit that their current policy was not going to reach world targets, and was negatively affecting global warming.

Each government representative declared in their own way, some quite arrogantly, their profound knowledge of the situation.  Despite the latest international scientific report damning the country’s lack of proactivity towards the environment, each minister denied its relevance when questioned.

What a dangerous place to stand!  Where do you go when you know it all?

How true is this for your life?  Do you know things?  Have you GOT the Truth? Watch out… there is DANGER ahead!

I used to worship in a church claiming to ‘have the truth’, but thankfully the Lord has shown me so much more about Him, and how little I really know!  I now believe that the Holy Spirit continues to unravel Truth, exposing God’s character as we follow Him.

Where are you looking today?  To yourself or to Christ?  Here’s the Good News…

“… so you have everything when you have Christ…”
Colossians 2:10a
