The crow escape

by Bruce Wadd

In Australia it’s a common occurrence.  You are driving along the road and as you come over a crest there in front of you is some ‘road kill’ that’s got the attention of a black bird – the crow!

Crows have a unique intelligence, which continues to amaze me – particularly how quickly they can escape.  You drive towards their road feast, and they seem destined to be the next fauna statistic, but just at the last moment they either step aside or fly away - a crow escape!

Is that what you do with God?  Do you stay in sin till the very last moment, until you absolutely can’t be there any more, and then confess?

Without sounding like a doomsday prophet, occasionally I have seen crows dead on the road’s edge!  They may have just been a little slow to escape, but the end result was clear.

If you are still intentionally dabbling in sin, your time might be up.

But, you are also missing out on the tremendous blessings that God pours out to those that trust in Him for everything…

“O Lord, You have freed me from my bonds

and I will serve You forever.”

Psalms 116:16

TODAY, don’t escape… be free in Him!
