The crowd falls silent

by Bruce Wadd

Ever been in a crowded room of people who are waiting for something to start?  Lots of excited people chatting with their friends?

At some point suddenly there is an uncanny quietness sweeps through the room, despite no one saying anything from the front.  People stop their conversation.  They start looking around wondering what is going on, and generally turn to the front to see what is about to happen.

At that moment, it is the ideal time to be introduced as a speaker, because you have everyone’s attention.

When God’s Good News comes into your life, that same hush of expectation falls over you, and you wonder what the Lord is going to do next.

How silent have you been lately?

“As the deer pants for water, so I long for you, O God.”

Psalms 42:1

TODAY, be silent in expectation of what is coming!
