Crammed wardrobe

by Bruce Wadd

I looked at my filled wardrobe recently and asked the question, how many shirts have I worn in the last month? How many haven’t I worn? Is it time for a throw out!

Recently I spent time with Catherine, and it reminded me of my filled wardrobe. She openly declared her frustration and guilt about not having enough time for God, because she had so many things to do.

Gently we walked to a point where she discovered that God was asking her what was important in her life! Was spending time with the Father missing in her life?

Let me ask you the same question… Is God leading you to a time of throwing out unwanted stuff in your life? Is He pointing at things that you are trying to hang on to?

This may be a painful time, but there’s something refreshing when looking at a cleaned out wardrobe! When you finally realise that God has cleansed your life!

“And since your old sin-loving nature ‘died’ with Christ,

we know that you will share His new life.”

Romans 6:8

What in your wardrobe are you going to let God take, TODAY?
