Cold to warm

by Bruce Wadd

It was a cool autumn dawn.  Sitting in front of an open window watching first light progresses to sun-up is a great way to start the day!

Being autumn it is noticeably cooler on exposed flesh, particularly at this time of the morning. I was almost to the point of putting more clothes on to curb the cold.  But I decided instead to experience the changes as they occurred.

With cloud on the horizon, dawn became a light show of different shades of pink as the sun drew closer to its appearance.  It then took over half an hour to climb above these clouds.

As soon as it did though, the change in temperature was noted on my face and legs, exposed to the sun’s rays.  My flesh was bathed in soft warmth, quickly removing any ‘goose bumps’.

So to with God’s arrival in your heart!  You can quickly move from fear, distress or utter ruin to assurance and peace when the love of God comes into your life.  It is a matter of believing and trusting Him through whatever circumstance life is bringing you.

Here’s a truth to move you from cold to warm. God says,

“When he calls on Me I will answer; I will be with him in trouble, and rescue him and honour him. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation.”

Psalms 91:15,16

Today, allow God to warm your life!
