Coffee stirring

by Bruce Wadd

I must confess – I love doing it! What, you ask? Recently my wife purchased two glass coffee cups, and now the delight of getting a coffee is even more profound.

With the sugar and the coffee in the cup, the hot water is added to the mix. Now with the dark brown liquid the fun begins.

Adding the milk sees the white liquid invade this darker shade, ending up staying on the top. It is only when the spoon, already inserted, is stirred that the milk creates clouds in the dark brown coffee.

I just love the few seconds of ‘weather creation’ that happens as the stirring begins. It doesn’t take long before the two contrasting colours blend to become that early morning wake-up pill!

My thought today – it’s the stirring that makes the coffee truly mixed! The Holy Spirit, when it enters your life, stirs things up, but truly makes the impact needed for change, for revival, for new life!

“But when the Father sends the Comforter instead of Me (Jesus Christ) – He will teach you much, as well as

remind You of everything I myself have told You.”

John 14:26

TODAY, let the stirring make it’s impact!
