Climbing walls

by Linda Messner

I took my grand daughters to a picnic on Saturday – it was a beautiful, hot July day!  A field filled with ‘inflatables’ greeted the girls when we arrived; there was a huge sliding board, a trampoline, bungee run, and other child-friendly adventures.

After lunch I watched the eight year old successfully complete the rock climb, and cheered the three year old as she followed her big sister through the Iron Man course.

The girls worked so hard, and were so proud of them selves when they finished!  My job was to encourage them, to congratulate them, and be there in case they fell and needed comfort.

How like our heavenly Father, who is always there watching us, cheering us on, and ready to catch us when we fall.

“With my God, I can scale a wall”  Psalms 18:29

Accept the challenge – climb the wall – with God, anything is possible!
