Cinema reality

by Bruce Wadd

With my mind totally fixated on the movie, the credits begin to roll and the reality of light begins to encroach on mystery of storyline.

I stood up, and slowly moved towards the back with all the other exiting cinema patrons. The doors swung open, I walked through, turning right with the crowd, into the dim reality of carpet, advertising stands, and a corridor filled with slow moving people.

Immediately that sense of ‘where am I’ exploded into my three-hour cinema escape, and for a little time I strained to bring thereal world back into perspective.

I stepped onto the footpath when I finally realized my wife was beside me, and we were meant to be walking back to our car.

Which reality are you living in? The day-to-day earthly reality or God’s new life of eternity? It may take a little time to refocus, but here is Paul’s renewed way of living, of answering the question – where am I?

“I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience His resurrection power, be a partner in His suffering, and go all the way with Him…”

Philippians 3:10

TODAY, refocus on your new reality… in Christ!
