Cattle dog desire

by Bruce Wadd

Having had a cattle dog in the family for a few months I am beginning to understand the habits and needs of this intelligent creature.  Living in a suburban home with a reasonable sized block is definitely not the complete solution for this active animal.

Being so smart the dog constantly seeks attention and activity, needs stimulation, things to play with and things to do.  Otherwise, what happens is that it gets into trouble by just following its natural instinct of inquisitiveness and high levels of activity.

This dog was bred for hard work every day, working with cattle and being mastered by one owner.

You too have similar breeding.  You were created to follow a single master – God!  You were also designed for activity and work on a daily basis.  You need to be busy with God’s purpose for your life.

Do you know what that is?

“Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations,

baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  And then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you; and be sure of this – that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”  Matthew 28:19,20

Today, let God’s desire rule your life!
