Breakthrough

by Bruce Wadd

Sometimes when climbing a mountain you walk through a forest with no magnificent views except the trees around you.  You know the panorama is coming, but the only choice you have, if you want to witness the magnificent vista, is to keep trudging till the forest breakthrough comes.

When you finally burst into openness, seeing the gorgeous views before you, you stand in awe of the beauty.  All the effort, the puffing, the sweating, the risks and the tired muscles during the trek are forgotten because of the magnificence presented.

How's your walk with Him?  Fantastic?  Or a little shaky?Maybe you feel like your view of God has been 'lost in the trees'?

This thought is for those who have a dream within, but feel distant from God, like you are hanging on by a thin thread, or that a mountain fog is blurring your view!  Your hope is almost gone!

I want to stand with you this morning, on His promises. You have a choice.  Do you keep going in Him or just quit? Here’s a promise for you...

“… so if your faith remains strong

after being tried in the test tube of

fiery trials, it will bring you much

praise and glory and honour on

the day of His return.”

1 Peter 1:7

Hang in there … the view will be worth it!
