Another ‘bodgy’ job! by
Having gotten over the excitement of buying our first home, my wife and I began to make plans to renovate our chosen ‘castle’. The excitement waned quickly when we started to investigate various rooms of our new home, discovering many jobs that had either been half completed, or finished using poor workmanship. It made us wonder what else we would find!
You guessed it! Within several minutes of pulling up the fading fake grass we uncovered all sorts of concreter’s ‘sins’ hidden underneath. It was evident that three different sections of the concrete had been laid at various times, with some form of ‘concrete gap filler’ smoothing the amateurish attempts. Another job to fix!!
Thanks goodness God doesn’t look at our lives that way. His grace accepts us as we are. He pours His love into us, and then allows us to grow and change as we are drawn to Him. There are no ‘bodgy’ jobs where God is concerned!

a period of several years the renovations continued, till finally our last
