The beginning, the end & the
journey in between
by As a child long trips were something our family did once
or twice a year. It meant sitting
in the back seat, watching everything go by as we slowly travelled the highway
to our destination.
I don’t ever remember choosing where we were going, when
we would leave, and the possible arrival time - I was just on for the ride. Looking back, I realise how profound those childhood
journeys were. Most journeys
related to going on holidays. I
didn’t put much thought into travelling, but I do recall being absolutely
excited about the destination. The
preparation, what route we took, the troubles along the way, and the eventual
arrival time were totally in my father’s capable hands. What journey are you on today? Have you left it all in the Father’s
hands?
