Battery turnaround

The fumbling, frustrated guitarist’s fingers pulled out the malfunctioning battery unit. It had died during the middle of a vital lead section, and he was irritated. Luckily the other band members covered the crisis!

Finally, he had everything in order, and was ready to play again, but nothing was working. He checked out the switch – yes, it was on. Everything was plugged in, but no sound could be heard.

He was certain that he’d done everything correctly, but on another inspection he noticed that when replacing the batteries, he had put them in the wrong way around. Quickly, he pulled them out, connected positive to negative, and at long last, wonderful musical interludes emanated from the acoustic guitar.
