Baked fresh

by Bruce Wadd

I don’t often visit my daughter’s workplace, but on this particular morning I took the opportunity. My eldest is a baker, and she loves what she does.

As I arrived at the store front, I was quickly overwhelmed with a sense of pride, to think that the impressive display before me was baked and displayed by my daughter during the early hours of that morning. I couldn’t help but be impressed!

As I talked with her, she expressed how much she loved having things fresh every day, and then she valued the challenge of setting up and then viewing her breads on display for the buying public.

Life’s gotten a bit crumby? Feeling a bit stale?

Remember, God’s love is fresh and new every day.

"The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By His mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each day" (Lamentations 3:22-23, NLT)

TODAY, go back to Him for a fresh serve!

P.S. I just couldn’t resist the baking one-liners!
